Hi all, hoping to get some feedback and suggestions from experienced Oregon hikers. I'll be in Portland at the end of September and on one of the days I want to get in some waterfall hikes in and around Multnomah Falls. It will just be me and I'm a fairly competent hiker. I do want to include Multnomah Falls, but I'm trying to figure out what else to include and also in what order? I came across the below hike on AllTrails that includes Angel's Rest, Multnomah Falls, Wahkeena Falls via Larch Mountain. I am a little worried that it says it takes over 6 hours to complete as that will eat up the majority of the day.

Does anyone have any tips on hikes near Multnomah Falls? What would you consider your "you should definitely check out X" spots? And do people typically drive from one hike to the next or does that sort of defeat the purpose?

We visited the Gorge on a June trip just driving but I had looked up some hikes for my son.

We did the Eagle Creek trail, but only as far as Tunnel falls (about 7 miles in, 14 miles total) and really enjoyed it.
