Help with day to see fall colors in Indiana

We will be traveling home to Ohio from Chicago and would love to stop and stay a day someplace that is on our way home to view the changing fall colors. Was thinking of area around So Bend or even further east. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for you help

For the best colors try southern Michigan. http://www.michigan.org/fall-color-tours/

I'd go around Bloomington and Brown County and combine with looking at their wonderful covered bridges along with the color.

The Dunes are nice but for fall color, I'd go to Pokagon or Turkey Run State Parks (up north) and Brown County to the south.
