help! will need sandals!

Oh dear,

We leave bright and early tomorrow morning, and it turns out I have no walking sandals that fit me. Long story as to why, but the long and short of it is...

We *may* (tho not likely) have time in Albuquerque for me to go look for a pair, tomorrow afternoon when we arrive. Otherwise, I'll need to find them in Santa Fe, asap.

Anyone happen to be online tonight with suggestions for where to look? Comfort for lots of walking is the main criteria. I don't want to break the bank, but I'm willing to spend a decent amount on sandals that will last a while.

Thanks if anyone sees this in time! I hate the idea of needing to shop for something right when I arrive, and any hints would be greatly appreciated.

Mephistos are the BEST! I have walked all over Spain, France, Mexico, Costa Rica, and New York City with them and they are great. No blisters, good support. Not cheap though, but they last forever. Here are stores in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. I found these on line and can't vouch for them personally.

Your best bet is On Your Feet in SF. It's in the Sambusco Mall next to Pranzo's Italian Restaurant.

If you have to shop in ABQ, I would say just go to Dillards for the largest selection. Shoes on a Shoestring may work if you wear Merrills or Teva or any of the basic brands.

Good luck!

I'm a big fan of Shoes on a Shoestring, if you're still in Albuquerque.
