Help plan Bourbon Visit Logistics - First visit
Hi I've read a few threads on visits to the Bourbon makers, but didn't yet gleen enough info to figure out logistics (even airport, from PHL) since it seems there are different "regions". The other challenge is we don't have a large group, its 2 people - so assuming more difficult to get a driver, or go with a bunch of other random people (ya just don't know with alcohol in the mix!)
So far, desired makers are Angels Envy, Bardstown & Blantons (we know this is "commercialized" and still enjoy the brand)
Kentucky: Looking for suggested logistics (Long weekend stay in September 2026) and if we can stay 1 place, or need to move around. One of the threads mentioned "narrow winding roads" regarding jim beam/makers mark area, which isn't my thing as a designated driver
(Are the narrow winding roads all over? or just that area)
Thanks for your knowledge, passion for travel, and for helping others!

Distance from Louisville airport (SDF)
Angels Envy, 6 miles
Buffalo Trace Distillery, 55 miles east near Frankfort
Bardstown, 88 miles south

Well, yes I do. You might get a taste of the bourbon or have none at all. It is a tour, not a party.
