Read a good book (or 3), get wet, sit in sun, move to shade, repeat.

The air and water in Maui is intoxicating.

There are great things to do, but don't feel you're missing out if you spend a lot of your time taking it easy.

yeh..melissd Have a great wedding and honeymoon!

My hubbie and i loved the feast at lele. It is more romantic than the ordinary luau, and most of the seats offer a great view of the dancing. So idyllic with sunset over molokai, lanai and little kaho'olawew. On your "next" trip to hawaii, i couldn't agree more with ATPittson's advice re: finding a good local luau..or at least one more homestyle production anyway. He also gives the sage advice about making the mauka pali drive past kapalua, which is tremendously awesome. In my opinion it's like the napali coast of maui. The iao valley and the area inland as you get around the corner towards paia is breathtaking as well. This whole place resonates with powerful mana and histories.. I love that.

This is what we did in Maui: http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...1&tid=34436140

Lots of hiking, beaching, snorkeling--free stuff! We didn't do a luau (and after three trips to the islands, still haven't) OR Mama's Fish House. We are oddballs I guess. Anyway, LOTS of details in the trip report, check it out.

love
