Help me plan my hiking/biking/city trip
Planning a 10-day trip in August. Driving from NJ with hybrid bikes. Would like to alternate hiking/biking/sightseeing. Considering Hudson Valley, Adirondacks, then to Montreal and north. Possibly return via Maine & Vermont. A day or two in one place, then drive a few hundred miles to the next. Love great food, day hikes, long but not too tough bike trails, fun towns, art. Please send ideas, trails, towns, B&Bs, restaurants, etc that you love. Thanks!

Here's an itinerary we did that worked well:
We left from Boston and drove to the Franconia Notch area of New Hampshire for a few days. From there, we drove into Canada and spent a few days in the Eastern Townships, staying on Lake Massawippi (this was a BIG splurge, but if you are up for it, Manoire Hovey isa fabulous inn). From there we drove to Quebec City for a few days. And then home.
might work for you...I'm not sure about bike trails (though there must be some), but you can get hiking, biking and a bit of art and history too.
