Help me decide - Ogunquit/Bar Harbor vs Stowe VT or other?
Okay. Playing around with fall trip ideas - and I hope the economy picks up so this becomes a reality 
I've driven up the coast of Maine, stopping at Wells and then on to Bar Harbor (continuing on up to Nova Scotia and PEI). I'd love to go back, this time stopping at Ogunquit on the way up (from Boston).
But, I've never been to Vermont and this would be the fall. I received an email newsletter from the Trapp Family Lodge today - but they are pricier than I want this year. I've researched some options in Stowe and I've mapped the routes out. Fine with both of those.
Any input/ suggestions? The Maine coast (again) or a visit to Vermont in fall?
If not Stowe, where would you go?
I'm guessing that this part of the trip would be about 4 days. Not really into shopping, enjoy moderate hikes and gorgeous scenery.
