Help! looking for B&B's in Cape Cod,NH and in Boston!
My husband and I are planning a 10 day vacation in New England. We will be making this trip around Labor Day and the purpose is to get a good feel for theses area's as we are interested in moving possibly to Southern NH or outside Boston.
We thought we would stay in Boston, Southern NH and Cape Cod a couple nights each and need suggestions on nice Bed and Breakfasts that are reasonable!
Thanks, in advance!

Visit www.newengland.com and check out their B&B listings and links. It is Yankee magazine's website. Unfortunately, I don't think there are many B&Bs in southern NH, they tend to be located in vacation areas. We live north of Concord NH and I would like to warn you that commuting on Rt 93, Rt 3 and Rts 495 and 128 sound awful every morning. Try listening to the morning traffic reports while you are here.

If you are looking for peace and quiet away from anything touristy, I have driven past but have not seen the inside of the Breezy Hill Bed & Breakfast. It is next to an apple orchard in southern N.H. #603-432-0122 this may suit your needs. It is about 5 miles west of I-93 exit 4
A listing of Southern NH B&B can be found at www.insiders.com/new_hampshire/index.htm select B&B, then Merimack Valley Region or Seacoast depending on your preferences.
Enjoy your visit to my home state.

My husband and I did the New England area fall of '97. The leaves were beyond description! Our favorite area was New Hampshire. The Paisley and Parsley B&B, in Jackson, NH was a wonderful experience. The room was great, with lots of privacy, and had a jacuzzi tub (big enough for a party). The owners were a hoot and made marvelous food.
As far as Cape Cod, we stayed at the Liberty Hill Inn in Yarmouth Port. The house was built as a luxurious Sea Captain's home in 1825. The room we stayed in was nice - they have 5 in the main house and several in the remodeled stable house. The innkeepers are Beth and Jack Flanagan. Beth made the most incredible breakfast french toast and has even authored her own B&B cook book. The number to Liberty Hill Inn is 800-821-3977. Good Luck!

The Beechwood Inn in Barnstable Village on Cape Cod -- it's wonderful! VERY romantic and the breakfast was perfect. Our biggest regret was we only had one night there and had to rush out to catch the ferry to the Vineyard. Ask for the room with the clawfoot bathtub. This part of the Cape has lots of antique and craft stores. You can walk from the B&B to the north shore of the cape - very relaxing & restful for early morning.

Erin,
Here are some southern NH Inns that are a little closer to where people live and commute in the area, like Manchester and Nashua.
The Bedford Village Inn, Bedford NH
Phone# 1-800-852-1166
I couldn't find a good web site about it. I have heard good things about the BVI but have never been there.
The Greenfield Inn, Greenfield NH
1-800-678-4144

I haven't been here but looks nice on the website.
