Help for the traveler to Hawaii

Hello

I'll be in Hawaii for 10 days in the first week in August.

Any advice on a wide variety of topics would be helpful. I am concerned with cost somewhat.

What about transportation? Any Hotels? Any Island recommendations?
I'll fly into Oahu and would like to visit another Island.

All suggestions are welcome!

Hey JB, you need to do a little reading first.
You've just asked the most commonly asked question at this forum.
If you check the text search (archive) you'll find thousands of comments about travel details in Hawaii.
Read for awhile and write back with more specific questions.

JB: We went to HI last year in August - stayed in Maui in an area called Napili. Absolutely beautiful, close to Lahaina where the action is and you must take a trip on the Road to Hana - there's nothing like it! Definitely recommend Napili area (as do many travel experts). The resorts are restricted to two stories so a view of the ocean is available to all. We found a condo for a family of four on the internet ($700) for a week and was worth much, much more.

I disagree with Lisa.
The Big Island is best.
