Visited Florida in May-June last year. Spent 3 days in Marco Island and felt like we were the only people there. 3 nights in South Beach was enough but we are not big "club" people. 8 nights in Key West and would happily have stayed another 8. 13 nights in Orlando seems a bit much, and a few nights in the Keys is not enough.

I agree with the above poster...my husband and I went to Key West in '98 for something like 5 nights/6 days and easily could have spent all of our time down there. It's so much fun, especially where you are in your 20's with no kids...go nuts! 13 days in Orlando sounds like what everyone else has been saying...OVERLOAD! Hit the major sites you want to see, but I think also that 4-5 days would probably do it for you! Tampa/St. Pete area is also nice and lots to do there. We're going there in July, can't wait. Have fun, whatever you do!

We just came back from WDW and barely touched the surface in 3.5 days, we basically ran through. You really need to spend a full day at each park. Then there's the water parks, and Universal, and Sea World, Busch Gardens...etc. If you started with 13 days in Orlando, you must have a feeling of what YOU want to do. Don't let these people hurry you through. If it was me, I really wished we had 10-14 days to see the parks and spend a day or two at the hotel's pool too (most of the resorts have great pools). We went on Memorial Day weekend...super busy, I'd suggest staying away on a holiday weekend!
I will agree about St. Augustine, Kennedy Space Center, Miami and Key West though!

I live in Tampa and would definitely suggest taking some of the 13 nights planned for Orlando and spending them on the Gulf Coast. St. Petersburg or Sarasota or Naples - there are some great things to check out.
Also, there is a lot more to do in the Orlando area other than Disney, as others have mentioned. But spending that amount of time doing theme parks, etc. can get pricey when there are other things to discover.
Tampa has some nightlife in Ybor City if you're into clubs.
