I stayed at a nice Holiday Inn while I was in Portsmouth. It's a short walk to town and they have parking. There is also a nice indoor pool there.

Whoops, that was Portland. I stayed at at Hampton Inn in Portsmouth. It was in kind of weird location, but the hotel was very nice.

I stayed in Portsmouth last month. The first Saturday night I stayed at the Holiday Inn. I felt it rather pricey at $129. The room was nothing to speak of and it was on a loop on the highway so your view was the other 4 or 5 hotels on that loop. But I do have to say the restaurant was very good and bar was fun.

I also had to stay in Portsmouth the next Saturday night so I chose the Sheraton which was $169. The extra $40 was well spent. The room was much nicer and you could walk just off the property for shopping, restaurants and the waterfront.

I was also told at the Holiday Inn that their rates go up to $189 for the same room in a couple of weeks so I'm sure they all go up.

Have fun!
