Help! 30th Birthday

My 30th birthday is this Labor Day, and I am looking for suggestions for a weekend trip. I would like to go somewhere interesting, where there is either a large festival/event or that time of year is THE time to go.

I am open to almost anything. Have traveled abroad and all over the U.S.

Please provide suggestions!

Isn't Southern Decadence on Labor Day weekend in New Orleans?

Personally, I'd just find a Party Town and go wild-- that is, if I weren't looking at 30 with fond memories *sob*.

South Beach will be hot & sticky, but you can find a cool hotel and just Hit the Clubs!

New York City would be way cool, I think.

How about going wild in Vegas? That sounds very tempting to me (fine, it's only an hour flight for me).

Southern Decadence in NO, well, might be TOO wild.

The Bumbershoot Festival is held over Labor Day weekend in Seattle. Great fun and the few times I've attended, I've been blessed with nice weather.
