Heaven on Earth?

We were in Bora Bora for 9 days as part of our honeymoon and were not bored for one minute. True, there is not a lot to do there, but we made good use of our time and loved it. I guess Bora Bora is not for everyone.
I would like to add that Anguilla runs a close second to Bora Bora. It is a deserty island, but the beaches, the food and the people are by far the best of any Caribbean Island I have been to.
As far as heaven on earth in the US, anywhere I am with my husband especially if there is a beach and water!

maceo, I'm sorry to hear that you found Bora Bora to be boring although I found it to be quite the opposite (a place filled with nature's wonders both above and below water). I'm sure there's many others who would find beautiful locales relatively devoid of tourist crowds quite boring. It might be hell for them, but it's heaven for a quite a few of us. Heaven (perfection) may even appear boring for restless souls, so maybe there's a reason for the alternative.
Perchance your idea of heaven would be a locale teeming with activity, excitement and decadence like Las Vegas or Cancun, but for many of us we would consider them hell for a variety of reasons.
Anyways, sorry if you feel like I'm preaching, but I just wanted to rebutt your criticism of others' notion of heaven on earth, Bora Bora, as being boring. One could apply that same term to many of the other choices of heaven on earth, but I'm sure it doesn't diminish the picture of beauty, peace and serenity they capture in our minds.
