Parking in San Francisco for 2 days

My wife and I are visiting California for Christmas and are spending the first two days in San Francisco.

We have a car (for the latter part of our trip) but were planning to park it for the two days we were in San Francisco.

Do you know of a cheap/safe place where we can park it for 2 days (hopefully under $15 per day).

No. Pay the piper and don't worry about it.

Vic, is there any way you can rent the car on your way out of SF? A car in the city is definitely not an asset and parking is expensive.

Vic, I agree that it would be easier to pick up the car on the way out of town. That said, there are parking lots on the outskirts of downtown where the parking is $10 a day (and less) (I park there each morning)- which will save you a lot of money over parking downtown at your hotel. Try Spear St and Folsom for a couple of good lots.

You can park in the City owned garage at Fifth and Mission for $18 for 24 hours. It is one block south of Market opposite the Sony Meteron.

Try the indoor lot at Ghirardelli Square. It costs $15 per day. However, I do not know if you can park overnight.
