Heathrow... is it awful?

I always fly into LGW, it's generally much cheaper for me.
This time I am connecting from AA to a BA flight at LHR and I am wondering what to expect.
Coming from the US I have a 2 hour connect time.
Any advice?

The security lines at Heathrow are awful. When I went through LHR security last year it took at least two hours.

You should be just fine. I always fly in and out of Heathrow and all airports are slow and crowded. You'll be connecting it sounds like, and that should go pretty fast. Make sure which terminal your flight arrives in and departs from..

You should have no problem unless your incoming flight is late.

On another website it says there is no food at Heathrow. I sure find that hard to believe...
Anyone know a website that lists the options?

Click shopping and food. All four terminals have food.

Who said Heathrow had no food, there are food choices to be had.
I was there twice last year and never had to wait over 20 minutes to a half hour to get through the lines, they move you fast I've heard lots of negatives about Heathrow but for myself I've never had a problem with it in the many many times I've been there.
My only complaint is that they do not assign gates until the last 50 minutes before the plane leaves, to me that's a bit of a bummer.
Yes you'll be fine as one poster said 2 hours is fine unless your incoming plane it late but not to despair they'll get you quickly on the next one out at least that was my experience.
