Treasure Island?

I was in Vegas in March and stayed at the Luxor. I liked it, I wasnt so hot on its location but not bad reguardless.

Im planning on going to Vegas with my sister and our freind in November. I have a few questions. First, anyone have any opinions on Treasure Island, it is so far leading our choices in where to stay (got a great $79 rate). Fodors rated it really well, what do you guys think.

Also, as I said I was there once, but is there anything, shows, attractions , resturants whatnot, that you deem a "must see/do" in Vegas.

Finally, what type of weather should I expect for early November?

We stayed @ Treasure Island in April and enjoyed. You will hear mixed reviews here - but I would go back. Good location, spa, coffee shop. Have fun!

Clean rooms. Not a bad location. Good rates. Worth it!

Yes, those rates are very good. You may also want to try funjetvacations.com for a price comparison to see if they are a little cheaper.
Weather in early November is unpredictable. I have ben there once when the weather was about 70-75 each day and another when it was 60 and really windy. I guess the best thing to do is check weather.com 10 days before you go.

Poolguard!
I JUST got back from Vegas and we stayed at the Treasure Island and we LOVED it!..the rooms were very spacious, nice amenities, bathroom was all marble...very clean. Everyone who worked at the hotel was very accomodating...The pool is a tad small for the size of the hotel, but it was very lovely with palm trees, bar, little outdoor shop, restuarant...Treasure Island is in a great location...I highly recommend it..

I recommend checking out Mandalay Bay and eating at Rumjungle..its a brazilian steakhouse..it was delicious!

hope this helps!

Average high in early November is high 60's, average nightly low is high 40's.

The rate you got at TI is competitive.
You won't likely find much else that's significantly cheaper which is nicer.
Occasionally you'll find unexpected sale rates at places which are better like Venetian, but not in that range.

If you're staying at TI you might consider seeing Mystere, which is at TI. It's one of the 'must see' shows. There are many great restaurants. Depends on your budget and desires.

We just got back 2 days ago from a 4 night stay at TI and would recommend it to anyone. Lovely plenty-large clean rooms, friendly helpful staff, nice casino. We told the check-in clerk it was our anniversary, and he put us in a corner room on the penthouse (top) floor - awesome views from two windows! We also thought the location was fine - we kept taking the tram to the Mirage, and from there it was an easy walk to lots of mid-strip hotels/casinos.

I stayed at Treasure Island two years ago and would stay there again if I go back. Large, clean rooms and a good location.

How many different names must this Tobin/Jaredson/etc/etc person use to post the EXACT same message, day after day.
Seems like many of them get deleted, so he just keeps posting the same message.
What's the deal?

I don't think that's true anymore. The pirate show has closed down and when it reopens it will be very risque - it's switching to an adult resort. When I was there 2 mos ago there were hardly any kids at all.

You could get a similar rate at Harrahs which is nicer than Treasure Island. TI caters more to children.

You'll soon see a new logo for Treasure Island - "TI" and if you like technology, you'll like the transition. The rooms are good, not great, its location is good, not great and the gaming is good, not great...Pool area is less than average, in my humble opinion. Stayed there last week and a couple of years ago but have concluded it is a lesser property now than then. Would I go back? At $79? Yes...

stayed at TI Sept 30-Oct 4th. Lots of construction going on. No sign on the strip. Room was okay. Houskeeping not on top of things. Very stingy with shampoo, soap, etc. Casino was never very crowded. Checked in at 11:00am with no problems. Pool area was sufficent, but if any more crowded would not be any fun.
