Heading to Chicago soon? Taking architecture tours?
Today's Chicago Groupon deal is 1/2 off Chicago Architecture Foundation membership. One can choose from single membership ($25) or household membership ($37).
With the membership, it allows one to buy-one-get-one free for the highly recommended CAF river cruise (which is normally $32pp)
http://caf.architecture.org/Page.aspx?pid=574
With household memebership, you get buy-two-get-two-free for the river cruise.
And all walking tours are free with the CAF membership.
I already bought mine. Don't miss it before the deal is gone!

Although this reads a little like a promo from the CAF, so what? The tours are great, the shops are good - it's a don't-miss for visitors to Chicago, and when I lived there, I still took the river tour with out-of-town guests because I really liked it so much - and learned/SAW something different each time.
Visiting Chicago? Do this -- and just for the record, there are other river cruises without any guide - just yahoo-hello! waving. These cruises are pretty AND pretty interesting.

Just keep in mind that those buy-one-get-one-free and buy-two-get-two-free deals for the Chicago Architecture Foundation River Cruise are subject to availability. Which means that during the busiest times (i.e., weekends and holidays), you might not be able to utilize that benefit.
That being said, this is a great deal.
