Aloha iceeu2, I appreciate the information you have generated with this thread. I leave for Oahu a week from Wed and there is tons of good information here. Where did you get the discount coupon book to which you refer? Mahalo.

cmcfong, you would need to go to entertainment.com for the book I am speaking of. Not sure if you will have time to get it in the mail or not. But on some other threads dusty has provided some great websites for discounts, etc. My favorite has been thisweek.com......There's lots of coupons there and you can also get all of the guides once you get to airport and hotels and other places.

Make sure when you check in at the Marriott to request a room on a high floor. I was just there this past Friday and there is some major construction going on in the hotel courtyard that leads out to the beach. This coupled with some additional construction on the street made for an extremely unpleasant time at the pool.
The rooms in the hotel are fantastic, and the staff was wonderful.

When you get to the baggage area at any of Hawaii's airports, there are many brochures available that have coupons, sights to see, things to do, etc.
These same brochures can be found in Waikiki at alll the major hotels, many newstands, etc.
The best ones to get are:
This Week Oahu (or Maui, Kauai or Big Island) also website: www.thisweek.com
Oahu Gold (or Maui Gold, etc.)
website: www.spotlighthawaii.com
101 Things To Do Oahu (or other island)
website: www.101thingstodo.com
BEST It may be called BEST Oahu. It's small and more book like.
There are many more brochures available for shopping centers, individual attractions, activities, etc.
