Hawaii Interisland airfares
Was all ready to (but didn't) book flights on Aloha for Honolulu - Kona for late March. The price just jumped $30 per person since Saturady. Any sense that it might come back down again?

Both Aloha and Hawaiian have implemented 3-tier pricing (with nearly identical airfares). Confirmed, pre-paid reservations only -- no "open" tickets anymore.
Lowest price ($69 each way) sells out quickly. On the more popular days/times, this needs to be booked 30-60 days in advance. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Mid-price ($93 each way) can _usually_ be booked less than a month in advance. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Highest ($105) can sometimes be booked just one day in advance -- and there's no charge to change reservation.

If you collect American Express points you can transfer them to Hawaiian Airlines. At the rate of 1 point per mile you can get a round trip interisland for 10,000 points. Pretty good deal if you compare that 10,000 points will get you a $100 certificate with Hertz.
