Hawaii; First two weeks in Januaryt?
I know Christmas is busy but what about the first two weeks in January? I would like to use FF miles during that time and I am wondering how competative it is for award seats and good rates on hotels/condos. We are usually "summer" visitors.

I cannot imagine you are going to get some sort of "cheap" rate at hotels during that period but I could be wrong.
We usually stay at the HaleKoa and those dates seem to be as hard to get as the ones over the holidays itself but that may be an exception.

The best time to visit (budget wise), seems to be late April through early June and late Sept. through most of November (Thanksgiving you have to flex your days a little). We are planning to go next May.

What we have seen is lower airfare for Jan-Mar and fewer deals at the hotels and better combo deals during the times trippinkpj mentioned. This past year the best sales showed up in Dec for air but don't know about hotel prices.
