Hey everyone, if you have any questions as to where to eat and visit on Oahu let me know and I'll be glad to help you (like I said born and raised on Oahu for over 50 years).

Mom-That might work out. I am needing to plsn a trip to Honolulu since I didn't make it to Oahu during my recent trip. I have lots of business there so just trying to figure out when to return. I've already been looking at airfares but I agree they seem much higher this year. I am still hoping that Hawaiian will have a good sale from SAN or even LAX.

hey Giovanna, not doing a commerical pitch, I'm just a local gal who wants to share some good info for folks flying to hawaii. I always get the local scoops on my destination, so I know where to get the real deals and authentic cusine.
I'm just trying to offer some info to visitors where to shop and eat besides the usual tourist traps.
It sure helps me when I go on vacation too!

Wondering if anyone who is currently in Hawaii, either on vacation or living there, experienced an evacuation. I will never forget being out in the water on Wakiki on our first trip 30 years ago when the monthly tsunami warning system test went off. We didn't know what it was and it scared the heck out of me.

Aloha all! I live in the mountains of Colorado outside of Denver and we leave for Oahu in only 7 more days!!! I'm so excited! I remember when my count-down was 70 days LOL. I think I remember coming across your posts MomDD awhile ago.
I used to live in Maui for awhile, but Oahu is my favorite island to stay on even though I LOVE Kauai so much. There is just soooo much more to do on Oahu. I've been to the BI too it's just not my thing as much. PLUS I know so many great spots in Oahu so that makes it really fun.
This will be my new husband's first time there so I'm excited to show him around. My kiddos have been there before but it's been a LONG 6 years since we've been there.
I LOVED reading Kona's review of her and her family's trip to Ko Olina. She is a hoot to read. Very funny and entertaining. I've been so busy with life and planning for the vaca that I'm glad I can just relax and veg with all of you.
