Birdergirl - love that front of the bus and love Marriott points!! We are on a timeshare package through the marriott and staying the extra time on points. Now I just need to decide if I was to upgrade with miles - at another 150.00 a ticket plus mileage tough pill to swallow - but that 8.5 hours will be a different experience!

Brandiemarie, much is sent to all of you. I have always had the upmost respect for the Make A Wish Foundation and it it one that I gladly donate to. May each precious minute in Hawaii with your special son be filled with many joys. I will think of all of you, your strength is awesome, dear one.

Seventy five days and counting. I just got back from Kona Village Resort 4 weeks ago and thought I could handle being away from there for 4 months, but we had snow yesterday (it's not supposed to snow here) and this morning it was 27˚ out, so I'm ready, ready, ready.

Dawn, when you live away from the coast an Hawaiian trip becomes a necessity!

Hawaii is definitely calling to me. We haven't been for over 5 years and that's 5 years too long for me.
I'm thinking about a trip for Thanksgiving 2011 if we haven't moved by then!

brandimarie, you brought tears to my eyes! Have a wonderful time with your son.

Yes, we are in Kona, had all the doors and windows open at 7 am. We drove north to Hawi for lunch at Bamboo, and had such a warm welcome! They remember us now, especially because we love their coconut sauce, and always keep asking for more. Today the owner, Joan, stood near our table and said, "oh, dear. We're out of.coconut sauce!". And then came over and gave us a hug. They always bring us an extra bowl of it.

I am so happy all of you are flying to Hawaii instead of taking the NCL Pride of America Cruise.
I am a local born and raised in Oahu for over 50 years, and have heard nothing but the most negative comments about this cruise.
You will truly appreciate our different islands by choosing your own favorite island by staying there a bit longer.
If you have any questions, please emial me and let me know!
