Wow! Oahu blech! I wonder if he/she even got out of the airport or wore blinders if he/she did. Oahu is very special and offers the best of both worlds: big city bustle and pure Hawaii. I personally like the kitsch and touristyness (is there such a word?) of Waikiki, but I also like the beauty of the Windward side of the island and North Shore. Beautiful beaches, great restaurants, interesting museums and other terrific sights to visit like nowhere else, and best of all the Spirit of Aloha everywhere! I bet gordy doesn't even like Spam!
