Having an Advil day -will someone PLEASE answer this 2nd request re: Va. Beach condos?! PLEASE!! PRETTY PLEASE???!!!!

Please tell me if you know anything about Mai Kai condo's on 54th st. in Virginia Beach. ANY info would be GREATLY appreciated!

This is my second request: and please don't tell me again that we should go to the Carolinas - we KNOW that - we LOVE the Carolinas more than Va. Beach but this is a vacation/family reunion and we HAVE to go.

PLEASE, PLEASE, any info greatly appreciated! I'm having an Advil day just wondering if we'll be having an Advil week in VA Beach!!! Thank you very, very much!

I'm posting a reply so you'll get one but I don't know where you could stay.

Chill!

Maybe you should try finding a board regarding the Virginia on yahoo (for example)

I THINK I once stayed at one of the condos you mention, but not quite sure and was at least 11 yearsago- The condo belonged to a friend and was across the street from the beach. I really could be wrong, but the condo was okay, just a little dated. I really don't remember if there was a pool. Like you, we go to N.C. except day trips usually. I'll make a diner suggestion if you are interested- Okay, its Italian, but in the first Holliday Inn, south of you, ( I think its Sunspree,) the restaurant Isle of Capri is on about the 4th floor overlooking the ocean- very romantic if you get a window seat, and fabulous tableside Caesar salads. Last time there they accepted reservations too. Good luck, at least its a beach!- Also, Ocean Eddie's on the Va. Beach pier is a hoot at nite for adults!

Sounds like the place I stayed as a kid. In the north end across the highway from the beach, quiet, older, no pool at that time. Quite aways from the Boardwalk and shopping, but probably nice and quiet. You'll probably be at the beach the whole time so it shouldn't be a problem.

We've been to every beach on the east coast. Va. Bch is ok, just older. The ocean is the same, obviously. The hotels are older, there are some newer condos (last 30 years) but in the north end where it's quieter. The north end has a Ramada, but that's it I think. And a few condos, lots of houses and cottages. You'll have fun because you'll be living at the beach anyway. A bed's a bed.

I'm sorry I can't really help you with Va. Beach, but Frommers.com is currently featuring a Va. board....check that out.

BTW, Advil IS awesome! Don't know what I'd do without it!

It's an older place. Very quiet area, far from the tourist stuff, across from beach, small pool. As others said, you'll be at the beach most of the time anyway, so it'll be just fine. Have a good time.

Checked out the Yahoo boards for all the beaches, not a thing. But a good idea, anyway!

You may want to try www.state.va.us and click on the tourism icon or go to www.virginia.org.

Calm down, the place can't be too bad, as the area is residential, far from the boardwalk, and calm and quiet. You'll have to drive to the restaurants etc. but you'll have less crowds on the beach. As others have said, you'll be at the beach mostly so as long as the bed is comfortable, who cares.

BTW, Frommers.com has a new Virginia message board, check it out.
