Talked to Walt Disny many years ago where he was scouting for a movie in Jamestown, VA.

At the Royal Hawaiian, January 2005, I sat at a table next Carol Channing, her husband and manager--she could not have looked any cuter than she did wearing a white sailor suit, her hair in pig tails tied with red ribbon.

Yes - I have RUN into several famous people- but then I live in NYC.
The most literal run-in was with Elliot Gould who is a VERY lage man. I'm 5'9" and felt tiny next to him - and bounced backward when he ran into me (on 57th st - under one of those buidling reconstruction wooden overheads with a very tricky path). He said "oh God, I'm sorry. Did I hurt you? I said no - I'm fine - and he half galloped away.
The other was an almost run-in - when Alec Baldwin jumped out of a cab right in front of my car. Luckily I had good brakes and mssed him by about 6". He waved "sorry" and ran through opposing traffic since it was raining cats and dogs. Going home I guess - since it was Central Park West.
Oh - and I used to run into Woody Alen every couple of weeks - since he shopped at my market. Never actually ran my cart into him - but he was always stopping in the middle of the aisle for no apparent reason - and it's a miracle I didn't. Just as short and nebbishy as he looks on film.
If you mean celebrities I have SEEN - couldn;t even begin to put together a complete list.

My daughter and SIL just returned from Maui on the 25th of Feb. While there they ran into Andre Carter of the Washington Redskins (formerly of the 49'ers) going into a restaurant. He was there vacationing after the Pro Bowl. He was kind enough to have photos taken with both of them.

Just last weekend we were at a restaurant in the Texas Hill Country and Dat Ngueyn of the Dallas Cowboys sat at the table next to us. I wouldn't have known him from a hill of beans, but DH was quite excited to meet him.

He probably wasn't famous even back in 1976, but, when I was at Williamsburg that year, I saw a house with several Secret Service agents around it. I asked one of them who was in there and he said West German Chancellor Schroeder was getting ready for a state visit. I asked when he would coming out and the agent, very politely, replied, "You're right, I can't tell you that." But after twenty minutes, Schroeder came out and the small crowd gave him some applause.

Have I run into anyone famous, you betcha?! I ran into Steve Garvey and his giant forearms at the Waikoloa Resort and he was very nice to the people who wanted his autograph.
If you hang around LAX you'll see bunches of famous people.

Just missed actually running into Kirstie Alley at the airport in Milan. She seemed to be trying to call attention to herself as she shouted orders at a woman behind her carrying all her shopping bags. She came at us with waving arms and all. We stepped aside and let her pass.
Sat across the aisle from Jose Feliciano once on a flight from San Juan to Miami. On a flight from St. Martin, I sat beside the one of the Addrisi brothers who wrote the song Never My Love. He told me the story of how it was written. That was fun - we started to sing the song and others around us joined in.

Hey, jamaltay!I feel much lighter today! But it just bugs me when somebody like galle38 posts & The Grammar Police jump all over him/her. Maybe galle38 really doesn't care but I sure wouldn't like it if somebody did that to me. Anyway....

Cassis Clay (sorry about the spelling)before he was Muhamed Ali. I was about 8, my first time in NYC, and we were staying at the Americana Hotel, which i guess was supposed to be hot stuff. Franly, I though Macys and the Macy's Day Parade were way better at that time in my life, My older and wiser brothers (all of 10 and 13) made me get his autograph, which unfortunately is long gone when I lost my autograph book (I also lost Bobby Sherman's and David Cassidy's autographs). I suspect if I still my autography book I could sell it and pay for at least a semester of state university tuition,
