Have meals on flights resumed?

I recently traveled to Belize on Continental and there was meal service, though it was not much (sandwiches and burgers basically). I rarely eat the main course (if you will), as I'd rather enjoy tastier food when I get to my destination, but maybe I'll snack on the fruit, cookie, pretzels, whatever. Just out of curiousity, can anyone share whether other airlines have resumed in-flight meal service on domestic or international travel? Thanks.

It depends on the length of the flight! There are no hard and fast standards across the board, so checking with the individual airline about your specific flight is really the only sure way of finding out.

Resumed? Did they ever stop? I've taken about 20 flights in the past 6 months and had meal service on all (Thai Airways, Korean Air, Continental, American, Delta, USA3000...)

They have stopped on many domestic flights. Last flight I took was 2 weeks ago on USAir. 3 hour flight. We got nothing one way, except drinks and on the way back we got a bag of pretzels! My husband usually takes short flights NY to Chicago. No food on any of those flights either.

Calling doesn't do much good since I did (I was traveling with kids) and the only answer I got was "We don't know". Even the Flight Attendents claimed they didn't know until they loaded the flight! If you have kids, or can't go 4 or 5 hours without food, pack something.

Oh, Howard, thanks for your response to my question yesterday. We will be away during that weekend. Have you been to the Litchfield Jazz Fest? It's a nice day trip, set-up similarly to what you described in Saratoga.

I don't think they ever stopped meal service on Midwest Express. Last I flew them 3 months ago we had a great meal.

From Newark to Las Vegas we had plenty of food a couple of weeks ago on Continental.
