Has anyone used Car Rental Hawaii?

Patrick just turned me on to this website carrentalhawaii.com

I plugged in my dates and absolutely cannot believe the rates I can get for a mid sized car. It's almost $100 less for a 2 week rental than what I can get elsewhere.

I do already have a Jeep Wrangler reserved that the rate I got through Costco was cheaper. Plus, with Costco I get the extra driver thrown in for no charge.

Just interested to know who has used this agency and with what success. I can use that extra $100 for a few cocktails!!

Hi,

Be interested in hearing about this site also, although I am not going until mid-September.

I also see MUCH cheaper prices with them than I can find elsewhere.

I'm wary, wish I could get confirmation they are legit from someone who has used them.

Hi iceeu2,

If you are coming to Hawaii, please stop by, it would be nice to meet you. Our friend Mike has the information. Let me know.

Have used them several times for myself and for visiting ohana/fammily. Have yet to encounter any problem with either the rental reservations or confirmed rate.

I haven't used them yet, but also found them to be the least expensive for my upcoming June trip - the actual car is coming from Thrifty but they are the facilitators I guess. I did email back and forth with them a few times since i couldn't find any details/reviews about them, and at this point i would say that they have been expedient and helpful as well as providing additional contact info and assuring me that i should have no problem whatsoever. I'm anxious to see how we all fare - especially since they aren't asking for any deposit, etc..but so far so good on their response and professionalism in my book.

I'm using this company for next week's Kauai rental:
www.discounthawaiicarrental.com
It was recommended by somone who lives in Hawaii. You can choose from several rental agencies. I like Thrifty, and even making the reservation through this site they recognized my Blue Chip #. This is a big deal for me, so I can go to the speedy counter and not waste precious minutes of my vacation waiting in line. There is no charge for additional driver...also a big deal for me!

Topping this thread- UndercoverShyGirl, I'm interested in how your rental with Car Rental Hawaii worked out! They seem to be offering a much cheaper rate than what I had initially reserved.

Check this site out www.discounthawaiicarrental.com

I have used them many times with great success. Somehow these guys manage get me the best rates every time. I have used them on the Big island, Kauai and Honolulu. My rentals have been with Thrifty, Budget and Alamo, no problems at all. Its great too cause they don't take any credit card info and you can cancel at anytime without penatly. Definitly worth cheking out if you want to save some cash on your car rental.

I had a booking there, thay set up Budget .... But I found a deal using Hotwire about $60.00 lower, using Hertz. I leave April 27th for 1 week. My weekly rate for a compact $158. Keep checking closer to your dates is my recommendation..

While I had several Hawaiian rentals set up with them, at the "last minute" I bid Priceline for convertibles and got even better deals.

But I have absolutely no reason to think that car rental hawaii isn't 100% genuine.

We used them for 2 rentals, the last week of March (Oahu-Avis), and first week of April (Maui-Alamo). Rates were very good, we thought (never bothered with PriceLine, etc.). We had no issues, the cars were all fine, no hassles when picking up/dropping off, and would use Car Rental Hawaii again.
