Has anyone stayed at the Mark Spencer Hotel in Portland?
We live in southern Oregon and love to go to Portland for weekends without the kids. Noticed good rates at the Mark Spencer and wanted the opinions of those who have stayed there recently. Also, where is Mother's?

I've stayed at these places and they are OK if money is the main concern. However, I have since found that I can usually get a really good deal at some place much better with parking and breakfast included by going to

The Mark Spencer Hotel is on 11th , right on the streetcar line, making it extremely easy to get all over town from the hotel.
I have not stayed there but met a lady recently who was and she loved it.
Mothers is on 2nd and Stark..they have a website. You can look at the menu etc.

Hi,
We live in Portland and my mother has stayed at the Mark Spencer. It seemed fine. I think that Mallory has more character. You might also check our the Inn at Northrup Station http://www.northrupstation.com/ and the Park Lane Inn. Both have suites with kitchens, are very convient to NW Portland and were reasonably priced last time I checked. Please let me know if you would like any information on them as I have been to all of them.
Very Best,
Gem
