Has anyone eaten at the Banyan Veranda restaurant in Waikiki?

Has anyone dined at the Banyon Veranda restaurant at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider? On their website they advertise a new sunset dinner and we're intrigued. I keep reading it's a must for cocktails, but can't find anything on the food there. Thanks!

Yum, yum, yum! Haven't had an opportunity to try the newest offerings, but can honestly say I've _never_ had a bad meal there (and the service is top-notch, too).

All that, plus the ambiance, plus the view. Sigh.......... 8-)

We have never had dinner at the restaurant, but we always go for Mai Tais and appetizers at the bar. That is our dinner. There is a great band on Thursdays and Saturdays - Herb Lee is the leader. Enjoy!

I will be in Waikiki in a few weeks, maye I shall test out their new sunset dinner! I agree with Auntie Maria and jetsetter, the Banyan Veranda is top-notch, probably my favorite oasis in Waikiki.

This restaurant is very popular with Japanese wedding parties.

Never had dinner there, but I do like the sunset cocktails. My favorite drink is the Moana Sands. mmmmmmmmm I'm looking out my window and it looks like the skies have cleared except for a mist over the west of Oahu. It should be another lovely sunset tonight!

I am leaving for Hawaii in 3 weeks and was thinking of either having dinner or high tea at the Banyon Veranda. I did not know about the Sunset dinner. Is there a web site address for this? I may very well try it out.

Thanks for the link Sandinmytoes! I looked at it and it does look rormantic but actually I loved the idea of afternoon tea with champagyne so we may do that instead.

Just 18 more days SIGH!

Thanks for your help! We went ahead and booked the sunset dinner for our anniversary. Only 2.5 more weeks! I'll post a review when we get back.
