Happy St. Patrick's Day from Patrick
So, anybody wearing green today? Special plans for the day? Our St. Patrick's Day Parade was Saturday here in Naples -- a surprisingly big and long parade. Good thing, as today it is very dark and raining.

Yep, wearing green with Shamrock earrings. For the past two days the radio and TV stations have been calling it St Paddy's Day. Seems to me I heard on this board (maybe the Europe board) that that is entirely just wrong. Am I right?

My wife and two children will be marching in the NYC Parade today. Look for a little boy wearing a plaid green pair of pants and a little girl wearing a plaid green skirt. They'll probably stand out as I'm sure they'll be the only two wearing white wool sweaters, also.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
It's cold and snowing/sleeting/wintry mixing here in Durham. Luckily, it's above freezing and it's not sticking to the ground.
Raleigh had it's parade Saturday 3/12/05. It was a beautiful, warm day (high in the 70's) then. Wish we had that weather today.

Hi,
The unjustice of life. I am Irish and although lived most of my life in the Republic, I live now in Northern Ireland. My husband, who considers himself firmly British, has the day off and is doing the garden, while I who am Irish to the core

Hi,
The unjustice of life. I am Irish and although lived most of my life in the Republic, I live now in Northern Ireland. My husband, who is native of here but considers himself firmly British rather than Irish, has the day off and is doing the garden in the first Irish sunshine of the year, while I who am Irish to the core work for a company who don't give us the day off at all
Oh well, doesn't do to take life too seriously, so I guess I should laugh instead...

Patrick - How nice to have our own holiday!
I think it's finally going to be spring in KY today but everyone has left the state and gone to Indiana for the bball game. GO CATS!
I'll be going to a prosecco tasting at the local wine shop tonight. Maybe it will be green prosecco?
