Half Moon Bay, CA with a 4 yr old

We will be staying at the Seal Cove Inn in Half Moon Bay, CA and I am interested if anyone knows of a playground or has some child friendly restaurants in mind. Any help would be appreciated.

Melinda, Please know in advance that Half Moon Bay is not the quaint touristy place that it might sound like. The beach is very cold and the water terribly rough. Would never suggest it for a 4 year old. Seal Cove Inn is wonderful, however. Moss Beach Distillery in Moss Beach has a resident ghost and while the upstairs is geared to adults, if you go downstairs there's a take away fish and chips and chowder window where you can go outside and eat watching the ocean (they supply blankets). The beaches farther south toward Santa Cruz are wider and a little calmer and Santa Cruz is a 4 year old's dream! Have fun.

I would agree with that. Half Moon Bay is about 15 degrees colder than the rest of the Bay Area. It is a beautiful town when the weather cooperates. As long as you're prepared for the possibility of cooler weather, you will have a good time.
