Haleakala at Sunrise

Hello. My fiance and I are going to Maui on our honeymoon in October. We had read somewhere that there is a limo company that will pick you up at your hotel beofre sunrise and transport you to Haleakala. Does anyone know how much this is or what company's do this? Thanks.

I would try calling the concierge at the hotel you will be staying at.

Most Limo companies will take you anywhere you want to go. Contact any limo company and ask them about a trip to Haleakala for sunrise.

Have you considered bicycling down Haleakala? My husband & I did not do that the first time we went (Wedding/Honeymoon) but we did do it the second time we went after seeing it on the Travel Channel. It was a great experience-- almost exhilerating. I recommend it if you are the least bit adventurous. The only complaint I had about it was the we did it on the same day that we were returning home and we didn't exactly mesh with the group that we ended up going with. Think about it.

I did this tour on my honeymoon in 1990 and loved it. The view of the sun rising above the clouds is spectacular and romantic!! We rode bikes down the crater. The tour on bike takes a big part of your day, but you don't feel it because you make a few stops along the way. Word of advice, take a blanket to keep warm..it's very cold at the top of the crater. And be prepared to get wet as you pass the clouds on your way down (they provided us with raincoats, gloves and helmets). Also, check out the seven sacred pools of Hana (sp?).
