Gulf Shores Wedding
I have another nephew getting married, this time on the beach in Gulf Shores in July. What about hurricane damage? Where to stay? It is a very casual affair, but we will be catering in some food for after the sunset beach wedding. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

Call The Plantation. Beachfront condos. 123 bedrooms. Its a very nice place. If you play golf Kiva Dunes is on the property. It was voted #2 in the country by golf digest. Bring food in cause a market is 15 minutes. If don't play golf rent a cart anyway its a beautiful sight between the gulf and Mobile Bay.

Actually, there is "sort of" an Alabama forum. I never look at all the US entries. I only go to specific states. So if people who are ready to give input about Alabama questions do this (go to the Alabama section and then hit go), then this thread won't show up, and they won't be answering it.
It may be that 99% of people do NOT do what I do, and they look at all the US posts. But I always try to categorize my post according to the correct state, in case those who can answer my questions are only looking at posts classified under that state.

I'd start here.. then go to Al Vistors site through here. Lots of re-openings and todays info may not be right tomorrow
Plantation is good and so is the Beach Club and its restaurants but both are 13 miles outside GS down Fort Morgan Rd.
The Oyster House is a great Restaurant and probably caters.
I'll help where I can
