GTG-May 27th-Kauai ((r))

We will get together on Friday, May 27th, 5-7 pm at the Pono Kai in Kapa'a. After that may schlepp it on down to Scotty's for some ribs, or somewhere else in the vicinity.

To date, there are 8 of us.

Please join us for a few hours of fun! Once I have the specific location staked out on the property of Pono Kai, I will call AuntieM and have her post it here.

Bring a small goodie to add to the table (we already are having a fruit and cheese tray and a sushi platter) and what you want to drink.

I'm signing off.....outta here in 3 more days looking for s!

Got voicemail from iceeu2 yesterday, with directions to the pool area at Pono Kai:

Park in the "Visitor" area, near Reception Desk. Walk down path beside Bldg 5.

If you need my cell #, email me at auntie at mele dot com

See you this Friday! 8-)

There's a special place in for those of you who torture others with Kauai GTG posts!

Besides, it will rain and you will be eaten by chickens because they can't eat the VERY LARGE bugs who wear hiking boots anymore.

Hawaii should have it's own forum.

If the chickens don't eat us, we'll send pictures.

Yo, Bill!

Hey, if you're interested in the Yountville GTG (I know...I'd rather have it on that hell hole Kauai, too)the day after T'giving, drop me a line.

We'll be posting soon so everyone can make plans. I think 6 months lead time may be a good thing.

6 people...5 or 6 bottles of wine (mahalo to imaq!!)...cheeses 'n crackers, sliced fresh papaya and pineapple, platter of fresh sushi...palm trees swaying in the cooling early-evening tradewinds...lotsa chatter...lotsa laughs...plus a mama hen and her chicks begging for handouts.

Yep, it was fun to put faces with these online names! Cameras were in use, and I expect iceeu2 will be posting hers as soon as they get home to GA -- sometime Sunday morning.

No hula from Budman...this time.
Kal, you were with us in spirit(s).

Corina, where were you???

We showed up about 5:20 at the pool area (right?). We didn't see anyone that resembled a Fodorite. Just alot of people swimming and laying around the pool........too bad we missed everyone.

What happened? too early-too late?

We hope to see you all at the next one!

Oh drat! We were just outside the pool area, around the right side at a picnic table.

Glad to know we weren't being so rowdy that you could hear us, though!
