Group dinner in a nice restaurant in San Francisco

This October, about a dozen managers from my company plus one of the owners will be in San Francisco for a conference. We want to have dinner in a nice restaurant. Any thoughts? One person in our group suggested Crustacean, which is always a good standby. I was wondering if there was someplace different, like along Grove Street? Or Russian Hill? Or....?

Hi there--in May, I was with a group of about 15 and enjoyed an excellent dinner at Il Fornaio, 1265 Battery Street. We were in a private room with floor to ceiling windows adjacent to an outdoor garden. The service was exceptional.

Crustecean? Is it the one on Polk @ California? Been there once, it's not for a manager's meeting IMO. Crowded. It's more for a regular dinner, not for a something special.

Kokkari along the Embarcadero is beautiful and has a private room that could probably accomodate your group. The food is also wonderful (upscale Greek).

Thanks for the suggestions! Yes, the Crustacean restaurant was actually suggested by one of the Sr.VPs, I think he's heavily into the garlic crab.

This is a great start, though, and I'll definitely run it past some in the group.

Mels,
Are Crustacean's from the former Yugoslavia?

What about the news places in the Ferry Building?
...or.....
Harris'?
House of Prime Rib?

I hear a lot of good stuff about Cortez.
If you go, can you look for my ?
I think I left it there.
