Ground zero-day or night?`

We will either start our day in that area or finish it there...which would you suggest?

It depends on whether you would rather see a big hole in the ground in natural light by day or floodlights by night.

I agree, its hallowed ground, a place to spend time in quiet prayer. See it at nite, reverently.

There's really nothing to see (a big hole is a good description), but it could be interesting seeing the 2 beams they're shining skyward up close.

When's the big F. Mac reunion?

I don't know how the crowds are now, which is a factor. Myself, I find it easier to see and contemplate the site at night just because of the reduction in visual distraction.

Was there two weeks ago taking a survivor back for the first time, everyone was snapping photos of the sight. A police officer had to usher a woman down from a car roof where she was taking photos, yes it was not her car. People were at least quiet on the platform only the hum of snapping lenses. UGH! Then everyone was off shopping at Century department store.

Perosnally, I would do it at night as I think it would (& should)put a damper on the rest of the day.
