Groovy Las Vegas
Will be in Las Vegas 09/21 - 09/23. My wife and like retro stays, boutique hotels/motels. I am talkin 60's jet set retro, clean but campy. Not some dump that has not been cleaned since the 60's. Thank you.

This is probably the one town that I wouldn't go for a 60's jet set hotel/motel since it will very likely be a dump..
Love the retro and wish I could think of a place..maybe something downtown like the Four Queens or Golden Nugget..
sure some of the rooms look like nothings been done since 1960!
Personally, I like the Wynn and they have lots of 'jetset' stuff and the rooms are amazing.
But you can't go wrong with most of the hotels on the strip.

I stumbled upon the Aruba Hotel once when looking for Vegas Hotels.

I've never stayed there, so I can't vouch for the hotel in any way, but it seems to be somewhat along the lines of what you're looking for. The website also says they recently changed ownership and renovated. Good luck and have fun!!

Try the Artisan Hotel. It's on I-15 and Sahara. They renovated an old Travelodge and I understand it's won some awards for atmosphere. Probably not 60's retro, but definitely boutique.

Are you planning to do the usual Vegas activities? If you are, then you will be much better off staying at one of the strip hotels. This is the one city in the US where that type of hotel, even if it exists, will be inconvenient in terms of doing the normal things in Vegas. The entire city is centered around the Vegas casino lifestyle. And most places farther from the strip are crappy and dumpy because they're made for people who want to spend all their money gambling instead of nice accomodations.
I would recommend staying at Paris Hotel. You'll probably find most "charming".
