Hello Giovanna, I didn't realize you had already left! Isn't Charleston beautiful? I hope you two enjoy your visit there as much as I did. Btw, my favorite restaurant was SNOB. Be careful walking though, my friend and I rather stumbled around as the sidewalks are not even. We managed not to go splat thankfully! Sending you two hugs.

Thank you both. We had a wonderful tour of the city today. The guide was exceptional. I can't get over the wonderful architecture, gardens, etc. We had a great dinner tonight at an Italian restaurant, gnocchi with a very good veal sauce, a glass of Sangiovese and a wonderful jazz trio and vocalist to entertain us while we ate. I think I'm in heaven instead of the southeastern US.

The Italian one is Mercato down by the Market.
We ate at Jestine's night before last and Hominy Grill last night. I'm now a member of the "I ate Shrimp and Grits Club." LOL We ate outside, had a wonderful server and it was as great as I expected. My husband had a wonderful chicken breast with mac & cheese and collard greens. We finished up with a piece of Buttermilk pie that we shared.
We went to the Aquarium and Ft. Sumter today, both were interesting. We're enjoying "cocktail hour" at our hotel now and trying to figure out where to eat tonight.
It's been a wonderful trip. We have enjoyed every minute. Have long wanted to visit here and it has been better than my best expectations. Should have planned a GTG huh Dayenu and Kal?

Home again with great memories of a great city. Would recommend a visit to Charleston to any traveler. We were fortunate to have a superb hotel and staff (plan to review on TripAdvisor) and were pleased with all our restaurant choices. There were a number of things I would liked to have done, but as always time didn't allow. What we did do, however, was to our liking and we couldn't be more pleased with our time there.
