GREAT Italian in Little Italy

Morning Folks,
Will be in Manhatten for a four day holiday at the end of October. My husband wants Italian in Little Italy and my daughter wants Chinese in Chinatown, and I don't want to argue with either of them. Meal can be for lunch or dinner. I LOVE NY!
Thanks for the help, Lori

GREAT italian is not to be found in Little Italy but DaNico is decent.

If you want Dim Sum, I'd recommend Golden Unicorn but you may be eating things which you don't know the ingredients to unless you speak cantonese (not for the unadventurous). As for regular dishes, I haven't been anywhere particularly good in Chinatown.

Il Cortile on Mulberry Street is as good as it gets; and that's plenty good.

Lori, for good Chinese food in Chinatown try Funky Broome at 176 Mott St. It's very popular so try to get there early, like 6:30 for a table. The Peking duck is especially good there. Have fun!

Lori, I agree with the others - great Italian is not to be found in Little Italy. For Chinese, try dim sum at Nice Restaurant on E. Broadway and lunch at Wonton Garden on Mott - WG is tiny, don't go there at peak times.

Lori, for GREAT Italian go to Il Giglio. Suberb! Located at 81 Warren St. between Greenwich and W. Broadway.

Where ever you eat you will be in ManhattAn. Notice the last "A" in the spelling of this fine city. There is no "E" in Manhattan.

Good Italian food in Little Italy:

Il Fornaio for lunch
Da Nico for dinner

Both on Mulberry Street, of course

Enjoy!
