GrandCanyon VS Antelope Canyon
Hi,
I was wondering if you'd to chose between GrandCanyon and Antelope Canyon - what would you chose? A little about us
1. We are driving from Phoenix
2. 3 adults and 1 kid (5 years)
3. We are more into sight seeing / taking lots of pics rather that hikes.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Antelope Canyon is good only for a few hours where Grand Canyon can keep you busy for a day or two. If you were to go to Page, what else would you plan on doing there? If you are coming directly from Phoenix, Page is a lot longer. Last Spring, we went to Page and decided to stop at the Grand Canyon for a little bit on our way back to Phoenix. It did make for a long day. It didn't feel as long when we only did Grand Canyon to Phoenix.

I'd choose the Grand Canyon because as sassy27 mentioned the Grand Canyon can keep you buys for a day or more. It's an awe inspiring location with many, many different scenic overlooks. The 5 year old will like riding the free shuttle buses at the South Rim.
Antelope Canyon is 1 to 1/2 hours tops and if you don't hit the right time for lighting or if it's cloudy, it's not as spectacular. If you included another activity in the area like a boat tour Lake Powell or the 1/2 day float trip on the Colorado River (no rapids at all) then it would be worth the trip, but just to see Antelope Canyon that's a lot of driving for just Antelope Canyon.

Thank you so much everyone. After reading your responses and a little more research, we have cancelled out Antelope Canyons from our trip. We are so short of time and your responses helped us a lot to chose one between two.
Thanks Again.
Thanks Again.
