Grand Teton and Yellowstone trip in early August
Hi fellow travelers! I am new to the forum. Fodor's books are my favorite for planning trips but I prefer to read guidebooks from several publishers because they are all different. The user name "active traveler" is about how I travel - go from one thing to the next, no relaxing until I get tired - but I don't rush around spending too little time at each attraction to cram in too many activities each day. I travel with my mom and always take at least one vacation a year, usually 7-10 days.
Luckily this year I am taking two big trips. Well, you might not think 5 nights is big but it is for someone who did not plan on taking it until months after a 12-night vacation was booked for the same year. It will be to Grand Teton (2 nights) and Yellowstone (3 nights) from August 7-12, my second trip to both parks (and certainly the last as well). I was previously at GTNP and YNP in 2009. This will be totally different. Naturally, I am very excited while finalizing my trip planning this week!

I totally forgot I already had an account on this site when I tried to register yesterday. It happens sometimes.
It will be a lot of fun. I will go on a Snake River raft trip at GTNP (never did something like that before) and take a bus tour in the Firehole Basin at YNP.
