Grand Canyon Trip for 55+ crowd
Hello,
My parents will be visiting CA in the fall and my father& mother have never been to the Grand canyon. Is there a tour company or such that we can send with to see the Grand canyon?
Thanks for your help!
Tina

Hey, I'm 10 years older than them and hiked in Bryce, Zion, GC and Sedona for a week last year.
Then 2 weeks ago I returned from another hiking trip to Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and the Escalante area.
I did all without a tour and planned it all myself.
Don't make them sound like old people.
I wish I had started doing this when I was their age.

Myer,
You are definitely not old!! My dad is 70 and mom in her 60s, ususally they go with us everywhere and we don't go on tours. But this is one trip that we will not be going on at this time and my parents only want to go for a few days after vising friends in CA. My dad had a heart attack several years ago resulting in quadruple bypass and he has slowed down a bit. For this trip they would actually like a tour..

There are a few tour companies that go out of Phoenix....I think if you go to Phoenix/Grand Canyon tour companies, you'll find some...I think it is a great idea to take the touring efforts out of their hands and let them enjoy the sights.

There are bus tours that depart from Las Vegas and Phoenix---they could fly direct to either one from LA. The bus ride is 4 to 5 hours each way from either place. Make sure they stay overnight at the Grand Canyon. A tour from Phoenix that included Sedona might be most enjoyable of all.
