But don't try this yourself! He must have taken some very dangerous chances to get some of those shots. Lava is very unforgiving. If you are caught in it, you will die -- burned up in minute -- so stay a safe distance away, as the rangers indicate.

If you take the time to read the information on his site, he is extremely cautious to always keep a safe distance. Top quality photo equipment/lenses enable this gorgeous work. I was quite impressed with the aloha spirit shared throughout this incredible work.
