Good restaurants convenient to Toyota Center-Houston
My husband and I will be in Houston at the end of October for the U2 concert. I am not familiar with restaurants close to the Toyota Center. Any ideas for seafood, Italien, or New American? My mom told me about an Italien place on Montrose, but I am not sure how far that would be from Toyota Center. The concert is on a Friday night, so we will have to deal with traffic.

emd- thanks for the response. I did look at the steakhouse you mentioned. It looks really great, but we will be dressed pretty casually to go to the concert. Vic and Anthony's looks like a place that we would need to dress up to go to. Do you know of anything for people with more casual attire?

What night of the week is it? Check Twisted Fork, but I am not sure they are open on weekend nights though. Alos, Houston is pretty laid back about dress. Did you check to see if you can get into Vic and Anthony's in jeans? It is next door to the baseball stadium, ao I imagine they get alot of people going to the games and Toyotan Center, etc.- and they are affiliated w/a baseball style casual hotel next door, Inn on the Park.

We will be in Houston on a Friday night. I even checked out Brennan's but it looks kind of swanky too. I think Vic and Anthony's recommended reservations and I thought they mentioned shirt and tie for men. I will google Twisted Fork.

I just checked Vic and Anthony's website again. They recommend business or dressy casual. We will most definatley be in jeans for the U2 concert. I like restaurants that you have to dress up a little, but on this night we really need casual.

Two other places I've looked at when we've stayed downtown close to Totota Center and the stadium-- There is a steak and chop place in Hilton Hotel Americas called Spencers. And another place close by called The Strip. I haven't been to either place. They get very mixed reviews. I used www.b4-U-eat.com
