Good place for lunch in Crested Butte

We'll be in Crested Butte on Sunday as part of a short CO leaf peeping road trip. Our experience with restaurants in Crested Butte has been hit and miss. Any lunch recommendations?

Good question which I can't answer. And nothing there is ringing out as memorable dining our last couple visits, since 2014. Years ago we liked The Secret Stash mainly because we had fun there. But last time we thought it had gone downhill. Good luck with the leaves, it is a hot spot for that!

Thanks Nelson. We'll probably stop for a ginger martini at the Ginger Cafe, but we weren't impressed with the food there. We had pizza at the Secret Stash a few years back, it was okay, maybe we'll end up back there, thanks.

Oh! I just remembered the Sherpa Cafe - it was pretty good. Maybe we'll give it another go.

It's the off season, so I don't know what's open. But our best best for lunch is The Last Steep. If you want pick up lunch, Teocalli Tamale is usually good. My dad doesn't eat "different" so no Sherpa Cafe for us. If Bonez is open for lunch, it's mexican food is good. I'm not a huge McGill's fan, but it's open for lunch and dinner. And Ryce is open for lunch during the summer so I assume it's open for lunch now. That's my vote! Go to Ryce! Sit in a booth overlooking the river.

I kind of buried my answer. Go to Ryce! It's Thai and Asian food. Very good.

We ate at Ryce summer 2017 and it was very good. I also like the appetizers as well as the rum drinks at Montanya. I often see plugs for their $10 Pho and Summer Bowls but haven't tried either yet. Have a great trip! I camped in RMNP last week and it was gorgeous. Unfortunately, we won't get to CB this year.

Ryce it was - we had a very good lunch there - would happily go back.

Crested Butte was uncomfortably busy.

I am glad you enjoyed your lunch at Ryce. The pictures of the leaves this year in Crested Butte were incredible. I wish we had been there. It's just hard to get there this time of year for us with no flights into Gunnison.
