Good Place for Breakfast on the way to Napa from San Francisco

We are leaving San Francisco early Sunday morning on our way to Napa. We are going to go over the Golden Gate Bridge to get there. Are they any good places to have breakfast along the way? Thanks for your help.

Pick up a muffin in SF before you leave or have room service at your hotel. Along the way are just the typical roadside joints unless you stop in Marin, and that is a whole day trip in and of itself. The Chandon winery has a lovely restaurant in Napa, they are a champagne house, and I recommend making a reservation for lunch there.

I like having breakfast in Sausalito at this place called Horizons. If it's warm enough you can sit on their deck over the water, and you get a great view of the city. The food is reasonably good, but what draws us there is the view.

No! Hurry to the Chandon winery which has a lovely restaurant, tour the champagne cellars, and have an early lunch. Make reservations!

If you can wait until 11:30 when they open, and you like huevos rancheros, stop at the Red Hen Cantina off 29 just near Yountville and the VA hospital. It's a roadside joint, but great Mexican food. Another great place for casual breakfast/lunch is the Diner in Yountville. Otherwise, another vote for Domaine Chandon.
