Anyone been to the Golden Anchor inn/motel in Bar Harbor. I will be up there for 3 nights in June. Any comments on the place? How about must-sees and other "secrets".

We stayed there right on the water. It was overpriced(160/nt. in July), a little shabby -holes in walls,no air conditioning only a fan after we were hot and requested it, Nice hot tub and pool, Foggy-we didn't know that Bar Island was there until the day we were leaving(watch the tides if you try to walk out there--we got caught in the icy water at sunset!),convenient to the town restaurants & shops Must see-Acadia Park-thunder hole and any water view! Simply breathtaking!!
