Going to Belmont Park for the first time.

Hi, I'm going to Belmont Park for the first time for the Belmont Stakes. I just need to know if video cameras are allowed inside. Also, I will be going on friday so if anyone has any suggestions of fun things to do let me know.. Thanks.

I don't know for sure about video cameras (I'm assuming no), but my advice is to get there very very early. It is going to be a zoo. It usually is on Stakes day, but more so now that there is a horse going after the Triple Crown.

GO SMARTY GO SMARTY GO SMARTY!!!!

(I have no useful advice to offer. I just love this horse. Although maybe I should make the trip up from Philadelphia. Are there non-infield seats available, do you know?)

Belmont Park does not typically do infield. I understand seats are usually gone by now but youmaywant to call them to confirm. You can always simplu buy an entrance and bring a beach chair to sit in the behind the stand section.

Okay, I have to add GO SMARTY JONES!!!! As well. I'll be watching from home, hopefully with a group of friends, cheering on this great horse. I hope Smarty kicks butt again.

Thanks for your responses. I called and you CAN bring a camcorder. Also, you can get in gereral admission for $2, but I'm sure it will be a mob scene.

I went to Belmont stakes a few years ago, and YES, it was packed - like sardines. Worse than the track was how people were packed into the LIRR cars, especially coming back to NYC.
