Go Pistons
Not to brag, but it looks like I have some new obligations for Thursday night. I'm staying at the Marriott Kauai. Are there any sports bars there or other places with big screen TVs?
Thanks

Which Marriott?
The one in Lihue has a nice pool bar w/ TVs.
JJs Broiler is across the parking lot.The Whaler Brew Pub is up on the point...but it's always hit/miss when it comes to service/food/drinks....but what a GREAT view.
Rob's Goodtime Grill is up the road a bit in "Downtown" Lihue by the bowling alley.
You can go up to Kapaa and watch it at The Olympic Cafe. Good grub and bar too.
Tradwinds in Kapaa, Lizard Lounge and The Shack will also be around....all near the new Courtyard Marriott, too.
If it's the Marriott in Poipu, Joe's on the Green aka Kiahuna Joe's. Open, breezy bar with good food and drinks.
The clubhouse at Poipu Golf Resort will probably have it on too.
Hope you can see the game thru all the rain..and that the bugs don't eat thru the TV cable or roosters crow too loud to hear it. :-"
Should be a good series.
Mucho mahalos!
204 baby!!!

Gosh, katolb, brag away. I'm a 76ers fan, and I'd be thrilled if my team make the finals 2 years in a row.
I go back and forth on the Pistons. I really wanted Indiana to win, b/c I'm amazed by the play of Reggie Miller. But since Detroit won, I wanted them to win it all. But then, after watching the Heat, I really like Wade, and I changed my mind and wanted the Heat to win. Now I'm back on the Piston's bandwagon. They play amazingly well together, and I love to watch Ben Wallace swat those balls away the opposing team's net.
San Antonio is a great team, too, it's just so hard to get excited about them. Tim Duncan is excellent and solid, but not as much fun to watch as say, Dwayne Wade or Allen Iverson.
One thing's for sure - it will be a great series!

Its the Marriott in Lihue. I want to stay close to the hotel since its going to be my first night on the island and I'll probably be zonked. OO, I feel sorry for you. Walking distance would be ideal.

k,
Since it's not exclusively on cable, I'd just hang at the Marriott's pool or beach bar, go over to Duke's or the very short walk to JJ's. They all should have it on.
You may want to see if they will delay it like they do Monday Night Football. I doubt it. Remember the time change...3 hrs from Calif to Hawaii right now, I believe.
So if it starts 6:00 PST it's 3 in the pm on Kauai.
I loved MNF at 4:00pm during our stays in Dec/Jan at a bar with a sattelite.
