Will be taking helicopter to Denver Glacier in early August at approx. 9A.M.
Advise us what clothing we'll need for this trip.Is it better to do this trip later in the day for weather reasons?

I didn't know there was a glacier in Denver. Sounds cold to me; I think I would bundle up even though it is summer time, especially since it is windy on the glaciers here in Nebraska an dlikely will be in Denver too.

Only do glaciers between 2 pm and 4 pm. That way you get a sun tan as well. Remember sun block.

Have you considered checking with the helicopter company??????????????

Weather or not

Why does flatlander think Denver Glacier is in Denver ? Bruce asks travel questions and deserves real answers, not made fun of especially by those who are not that brainy but pretend to be. Alaska really has a Denver Glacier. (It also has a Harvard and a Yale).
I did not do a helicopter ride to a glacier, but did a Prince William Sound cruise to several. It does get cool as the ship got closer to the glacier; I imagine more so when you're on it. As suggested in several posts regarding what to wear in Alaska, layering is the answer, plus a waterproof jacket (like goretex).
I can't answer the question on what time of day to do this. Perhaps now that readers realize you have real questions, others who have done a helicopter rides will post their answers.
